TMS and Spravato (esketamine nasal spray) are covered by most major health insurance plans when criteria are met. For patients who are out-of-network or who want accelerated TMS treatment, third-party financing may be available.

Criteria for TMS


  • A diagnosis of major depressive disorder (MDD) or treatment-resistant disorder (TRD)
  • A trial of 2 to 4 antidepressant medications without adequate relief
  • A documented attempt at psychotherapy
  • Ongoing impairment in daily functioning
  • Note: Criteria vary by carrier and plan - we confirm your specific requirements during verification

Criteria for Spravato

  • A diagnosis of treatment-resistant depression or MDD with suicidal ideation
  • Prior trials of antidepressant therapy without sufficient response
  • Treatment administered in a certified healthcare setting with monitoring
  • Note: Spravato (esketamine) is a REMS-restricted medication — our team manages all compliance requirements

Insurance is not a requirement for care at Bluegrass Advanced Mental Health. We believe advanced psychiatric treatment should be accessible to patients who need it, regardless of coverage status.


We offer two clear pathways for patients without insurance or whose insurance does not cover a specific treatment.

Self-Pay Packages

We offer per-session and full-course self-pay packages for Accelerated TMS. A written cost estimate is provided before any treatment is scheduled - no surprises, no pressure.

CreditCare Financing

Accelerated TMS costs $7,500 which includes evaluation, 38 sessions during treatment weeks, all follow-up visits, and free touch-up sessions within 6 months if needed.


CareCredit is available for eligible patients receiving Accelerated TMS and allows you to pay for treatment over time with flexible monthly payment options.
